Carl Froch Raises Major Concerns About Credibility of Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury Fight Outcome

Carl Froch hinted Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury might not be a 'real fight'. The former world super middleweight champion says he will be watching the Saudi showdown "closely" after questioning the legitimacy of Paul's latest outing against Anderson Silva.

Speaking on the Paul vs Fury show on BT Sport, Froch said: "I question how this fight was won [against Anderson Silva]. The right cut off his nose, and he passed, maybe it was a balance issue but I feel like Anderson Silva wasn't trying.

"When there's so much money at stake, we don't like to say fights are fixed and what's going on in the background. But there are always things going around and that's a sauce that has to go on and he makes a lot of money Jake Paul because he knows what he's doing he speaks well he has social media influence and I don't think his story ends here with Tommy Fury .

"I think there's something deeper going on. I don't want to put on my tinfoil hat, but I'm going to watch this closely. I'm going to watch this and say, 'well, that' does tommy fury do

"I have all of these things going on. Until I see Jake Paul and Tommy Fury trading leather up close and personal, I won't be convinced it's genuine."

Paul had such baseless accusations of "fight-fixing" against him for his entire stint as a professional boxer. The former Disney actor flatly dismissed the rumors and called the theories "pathetic" and "dumb."

“I lose faith in my generation, in my peers and in us as a society and the world when I see this kind of stuff and this type of stupidity,” he said. "It just sucks. It sucks because I worked so hard for it.

“I dedicate myself to everything, I sacrifice everything, every day I break my balls, I have a team of 15 people working around the clock to help me become the best boxer I can be, and when I do something like beat Anderson Silva, they try to take him away from me. But I know deep down, and I guess that's all that really matters."

Froch's latest verbal jabs come after a recent back-and-forth between the two in which they both declared their willingness to fight. Last week, Paul challenged Froch to fight Silva to "grow his name" in the United States so they could get a grudge match to settle the score.

Not taking too kindly to being told to prove himself to his rookie rival, Froch shot back, "Listen to me, Jake Paul, you clown. The worst thing you could have done in your fake boxing career is call the Cobra. How can you call me?

"Look, I don't think for a minute that you have the nerve to get in the ring with me anyway. But if somehow you beat Tommy and me and you fight, just understand one thing - you're knocked out. This fight can't end otherwise than if you pass out. I guarantee it."
