Get excited, Team Aidan fans! John Corbett is officially back for the second season of "And Just Like That". In new photos by Craig Blankenhorn shared by the HBO Max series on Jan. 13, Sarah Jessica Parker's Carrie and Corbett's Aidan are seen holding hands while walking through the streets of New York City. "Shhh. Don't tell anyone," the show's account captioned the new footage. While it's unclear what season two has in store for the formerly engaged on-screen couple, they certainly look like a stylish pair.

In August 2022, after much back and forth, Deadline exclusively reported Corbett's return in the 'Sex and the City' sequel. Corbett previously excited fans in April 2021, when he revealed he would be reprising his role in the reboot before it aired — which Parker later clarified was a joke. "[Corbett] actually reached out very nicely, because he's nothing but a gentleman, and apologized for doing it as a joke," she said on "Watch This. happening live with Andy Cohen". She added, "I thought it was pretty yummy and fun... That said, I think it's all possible."

After the first season was shrouded in mixed reviews, executive producer Michael Patrick King also spoke about Corbett's initial comments and his potential return with Deadline. "The thing is, we never said anything about Aidan, just like we never said, Steve and Carrie or get together... It really felt like it was a lot for Carrie. That season has been a lot. We wanted to get him through that and into the light." He continued, "[Aidan's return] is a big story that everyone at home wrote that we never expected."
