Monica Aldama of 'Cheer' fame and Navarro College, where the show is set, are being taken to court...after one of their cheerleaders claims the show tried to brush off her allegations of sexual assault under the rug.

According to legal documents, obtained by TMZ, Madi Lane, a member of Navarro's cheer squad, claims she was sexually assaulted during her first semester at the University of Texas in 2021 in her own dorm by team member Salvatore "Salvo" Amico.

Lane claims that her roommate wanted to take Amico back to their dorm and she eventually went back to bed when her roommate, the roommate's boyfriend, and Amico were all in the living room.

After a while, Lane claims that her roommate and their boyfriend came into the bedroom, while Amico followed and climbed onto Lane's bed and started to take off her clothes. She says she yelled at him to stop, but he continued and inserted his fingers inside her.

Lane says she was eventually able to get him arrested, but when she brought it to the attention of her team, she claims that one of the "veteran" cheerleaders, Maddy Brum, told him, "Just drink it and forget about it" and "We're not telling anyone. We're just keeping it to ourselves."
