Lobi Stars striker Joseph Atule has said Enugu Rangers are the toughest opponent his side have faced in the opening stanza of the 2022/23 Nigeria Premier Football League season.< /p>
Makurdi's side beat Rangers 1-0 in their matchday two encounter with Atule scoring the decisive goal.
Atule pointed out that even though the match was difficult, he was looking forward to facing them in the second leg.
"Rangers were the toughest opponent for us in the first stanza of the league," Atule begins in a conversation with DAILY POST.
"Thank goodness we snatched the maximum points, but we can't wait to face them again in the second stanza."
Lobi Stars FC will travel to Awka City Stadium to face Enugu Rangers FC in April for the second leg.
The Lobi Stars currently sit first in the Group B standings.
