Chelsea are considering a new offer from Gordon
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are considering making a new offer for the services of Anthony Gordon, after Everton rejected a £40million offer.
The 21-year-old winger was previously of interest to Tottenham Hotspur, who are reportedly interested in signing Richarlison. But as the Brazil international moved to north London, Everton have remained firm on Gordon, refusing to even consider a sale. Newcastle are also believed to have made contact, receiving the same response.
When asked about it a few days ago, manager Frank Lampard reiterated the club's stance that the youngster was going nowhere.
On the other hand, Everton have also inquired about more than one Chelsea player, and Chelsea could take advantage of this interest and include discussed names in their next offer for Gordon.
Gordon is an Everton academy product, having only played for them and Preston North End during a brief loan spell in 2021. In 62 games in all competitions, he has played for them so far the Toffees, he scored four goals and produced eight assists.
