The statement read in part: “The Nigerian Army is set to hold the First Quarter Chief of Army Staff Conference 2023. The conference is expected to start on the 3rd and last until April 6, 2023.

“Usually, the COAS conference will provide an avenue for the reassessment of the administrative affairs of the Nigerian Army, as well as a comprehensive assessment and review of the ongoing operational engagements of the NA in all theaters of operations at across the country, within the first quarter of the year.

“This will provide the NA with in-depth insight to enable far-reaching decisions towards achieving its stated goal of addressing the multi-faceted security challenges facing the country.

“The conference will also create an opportunity for COAS to have face-to-face interaction with commanding general officers, field commanders, and other senior officers to provide possible advice on improving NA operations. and other activities,” Nwachukwu explained. .

He added that the army chief would be introduced to 14 soldiers who had reached the peak of their careers.

Nwachukwu said, “On the first day of the conference, COAS will showcase 14 new Toyota Hilux vehicles to Army Warrant Officers who have reached the pinnacle of their military careers. Similarly, COAS will declare open for use the newly constructed Faruk Yahaya Historical Park located in Asokoro Abuja. The conference will also showcase some of NA's research and development efforts in an exhibit. »
