Management of Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc has said it is preparing to cut sugar imports into the country by 40%.

Dangote Group Chairman, Aliko Dangote, said in a statement that he was starting Phase II of his sugar project, which would cover more than 100,000 ha to make the sugar factory the largest in Africa, paving the way for the employment of more than 30,000 young people.
