Ed Sheeran may have done a cover or two in his day, but have you heard him cover the Backstreet Boys the way we mere mortals do on a Friday night pub crawl? Well, now you have. The "Bad Habits" singer hit up a bar in Nashville, Tennessee on July 23 after his sold-out show in the city and led a band singing "I Want It That Way." .

The 32-year-old posted the video to his Instagram and halfway through, speaking directly to the camera, he explains, "When I was living in Nashville in 2013, I used to go to this karaoke trailer called Santa's. $1 PBR and it's karaoke, and it's the best." During the message, he can be seen on the microphone leading the whole bar during a karaoke session, before shouting "Let's go, fuck it!" He serves beer behind the bar, then the crowd sings his hit song "Thinking Out Loud" in another group karaoke pass. The moment was made even more special as the bride and groom, who had tied the knot earlier in the day, were also having their afterparty at the bar.

“Celebrating the attendance record at Nissan Stadium in Nashville tonight at the Santas pub. When I lived here, this was the place and still is. Karaoke caravan and cheap beer, what what not to like x?" he captioned the post on Instagram. And who hastened to comment? Only AJ McClean of the Backstreet Boys. "Let's go bro. When we jam together. Must be like yesterday. Hope you had fun bro. Sounds like a lot of fun," he wrote. Surely this must be the next collab? Another fan gave us even more insight into the night by posting a video on TikTok of Sheeran singing One Direction's "What Makes You Beautiful." Now we need to know what other classics were on the playlist.

Sheeran is currently on a world tour after a tumultuous time in his life. He has opened up about his mental health struggles over the past few years following the death of his best friend, his wife Cherry's health issues and a song copyright lawsuit. Now he's in a much better place and looked like he was having the best time of his life during his weekend in Nashville. See his karaoke session below.
