The youth wing of the Edo State branch of the All Progressive Congress (APC) held a youth summit on Tuesday, where they assured the party's presidential candidate for the general election of the year next, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a resounding victory in the election.

Speaking at the event, held at Emporium Hall, GRA, Benin City, Edo South Senatorial Candidate Valentine Asuen and Oredo Federal Constituency Candidate, Osaro Obazee, promised to work hard to improve the party. reward system to promote party engagement and loyalty.

Obazee, who urged members to join hands to save the state and ensure victory for the party, lamented that in nearly three years there had been no local government president in the state due to the governor's inability to conduct the local government election.

The House of Representatives hopeful said he would remedy the impropriety with appropriate legislation in the lower legislative house, once elected.

Addressing the summit, Edo APC Youth Leader Mr. Tony Kaba said the essence of the summit was to sensitize the youth on what to do before, during and after the elections .

He said the forum should let them know their candidates for various political positions in the upcoming elections in the country and urged them to continue mobilizing the people of Edo for the party's presidential candidate, Tinubu.

Speaking earlier, the party's state chairman, Colonel David Imuse (Rtd), challenged the youth to go to their various constituencies and encourage other party members to vote and stand up their votes.
