An efficient workplace, an essential asset for the creation of sustainable jobs —Onwuliri

THE IMPLEMENTERS of government programs aimed at mass job creation have been instructed to be aware of their vital role in creating job opportunities for the unemployed.

National Employment Directorate (NDE) Southeast Zone Director Edmund Onwuliri said this during a handover event recently held at the South East Zone office of the NDE. direction to Akwa, Anambra State.

Onwuliri, who instructed the area office staff to do their best to provide support for the effective execution of NDE job creation programs, stressed the need for prompt execution of assigned responsibilities in order to ensure the achievement of organizational objectives.

Talking about his management as head of the zone office, Onwuliri said that more than 5,000 people have benefited from the directorate's various job creation programs over the past 10 months in the South Zone. East.

He said, "The zonal office during the same period assisted management in providing monitoring support for the implementation of job creation programs in the five zonal states, while ensuring that the payment of stipends and allowances to trainers, trainees and loan recipients were executed in a transparent manner in accordance with management guidelines, among other oversight duties.”

Onwuliri urged staff to be efficient in service delivery and remain stubborn in the fight against mass unemployment, urging them to continue to support the new director as she assumes the leadership role in the area.

The new zonal director, Ifeoma Ezekwe, appreciated the efforts of the zonal office to ensure that state office service providers receive effective support services. She promised to focus on deepening these services.

Furthermore, she instructed the staff not to back down as everyone must be on deck to achieve the goals of EMI in the Southeast.

Prior to her deployment to the zonal office, Ezekwe was the State Coordinator of NDE in Enugu State. His deployment follows his recent promotion to substantive director.

Similarly, Onwuliri is expected to return to his duties at the NDE headquarters where he will serve as a substantive director in the Department of Planning, Research and Statistics. He took up his duties 10 months ago as acting director, in the zone office.
