Elizabeth Olsen's acting career goes far beyond Wanda Maximoff

Fans may have heard of Elizabeth Olsen because she's the sister of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, but ever since she started acting in movies and TV shows in 2011, the actress has made a name for herself as an absolute star. Before finding mainstream success as Wanda Maximoff, aka the Scarlet Witch, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Olsen starred in smaller indie films like "Martha Marcy May Marlene" and "Silent House." She also starred in the Facebook Watch series "Sorry For Your Loss", about the grief of a young widow.

Now Olsen is gearing up for the release of his new series, "Love & Death." She plays Candy Montgomery, a Texas housewife who killed Betty Gore with an axe. Interestingly, a Hulu limited series, "Candy," told the same story earlier this year.

In May, Olsen opened up about how his success in the MCU had hurt his ability to play independent roles. "I started to feel frustrated," she told The New York Times. "I had that job security, but I was losing those elements that I felt were more of a part of who I was. And the further I got away from that, the less I was considered."

"It [Marvel] took me away from the physical ability to do certain jobs that I thought were more aligned with the things I loved as an audience member," she explained. She had wanted to be a part of "The Lobster" movie but had to say no due to filming commitments. "And I'm the most honest one," she said.

As Olsen continues to build his impressive resume, review his most iconic film and television roles.
