EPL: Don't scapegoat me - Sancho hits back at Ten Hag

Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho has slammed Erik ten Hag after the manager claimed he wasn't included in the squad for the loss to Arsenal due to his poor performance at home training.

Sancho was completely left out by the Dutchman, who lost 3-1 at the Emirates.

After Ten Hag revealed the reason he was kicked out, the player posted a statement on Twitter that read, "Please don't believe everything you read! people to say things that are completely untrue.

“I did very well in training this week. I think there are other reasons for this problem that I won't go into. I have long been the scapegoat, which is not fair! All I want is to play football with a smile on my face and contribute to my team.

“I respect all decisions made by the technical staff. I play with fantastic players and I'm grateful to do so, which I know is a challenge every week. I will keep fighting for this badge no matter what!

Sancho has failed to impress since joining from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021.
