Plans to regenerate Trent Bridge Pavilion have been submitted in a bid to ensure that Test cricket continues to be held in Nottingham.

Rushcliffe Borough Council has received plans to partially demolish and extend the members' lodge.

In its application, Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club said the development was necessary to keep pace with the evolution of the game.

Councillors will consider the plans before deciding whether to grant permission.

In documents submitted to the board, the club said the future of match allocations Test cricket for 2025-2031 could potentially be at risk if they do not make the improvements.
