EPL: Thierry Henry and Evra react as Ronaldo walks away in Man Utd's 2-0 win over Tottenham
Former France internationals Thierry Henry and Patric Evra offered different reactions to Cristiano Ronaldo's decision to leave the pitch in Manchester United's 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur.
Ronaldo left the substitutes' bench and disappeared into the tunnel a few minutes from the end of the match.
Fred and Bruno Fernandes had scored in the second half to give United all three points, in what was an utterly dominating performance.
Henry, speaking about the Ronaldo incident after the game on Amazon Prime, said: "A job that Erik ten Hag has to deal with. But there was a game, a great game, history shouldn't be Ronaldo leaving."
Former United defender Patrice Evra added: "Everyone is different. I want to stay on United's performance, not to protect Cristiano Ronaldo.
"Maybe he needed treatment? I don't want to make excuses. We have to stop talking about Ronaldo every day."
