FG denies allegations of non-payment of June wages for workers
The Federation's Accountant General's Office has denied claims by some that the government has yet to pay its workers' June wages.
In an exclusive interview with DAILY POST on Tuesday, OAGF Press Director Mr. Bawa Mokwa said that most federal government employees had received their June salaries.
Recall that a week ago, the federal government blamed technical problems on delays in the salaries of some civil servants in June.
But, as a development update, Mokwa said the issue has been resolved.
“The case is over now; most of the wages of the workers on the federal government payroll had been paid. Those who have not yet received it are due to delays from their banks,” a- he said.
Earlier, the president of the National Association of Resident Doctors, Federal Capital Territory Chapter, Olayinka Rahman, confirmed that the June salaries had been paid.
