'Frustrated' Tuchel admits 'missing everything' with Chelsea; admits he's "part" of the problem

Thomas Tuchel conceded that Chelsea 'miss everything' as they 'struggled' in the loss to Dinamo Zagreb.

Chelsea received a fairly favorable Champions League group on paper as they face Dinamo Zagreb, AC Milan and Red Bull Salzburg.

AC Milan seems to be the most difficult game after winning the Serie A title last season.

You would say Dinamo Zagreb are Chelsea's weakest rivals in Group E, but they lost to the Croatian side in their opener on Tuesday night.

Mislav Orsic scored the game's only goal before the break beating Kepa Arrizabalaga after running away from summer signing Wesley Fofana.

Chelsea pushed to equalize in the second half. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang looked to have scored on his debut for the club, but was ruled offside.

Reece James caused Dinamo Zagreb problems late on and he came close towards the end as he hit the post with his shot.

The match ended 1-0 and it's not an ideal start as Chelsea look to earn a place in the knockout stages of the competition.

The Blues host Red Bull Salzburg at Stamford Bridge next Wednesday in their second group game.

After the loss to Dinamo Zagreb, Tuchel said there was 'too much to analyse' with Chelsea at the moment:

"Of course I'm frustrated; there's too much to analyze, I'm part of it, and we're clearly not where we need to be," Tuchel told BT Sport.

“At the moment everything is missing. I have to find solutions for the next game, of course.”

When asked if his players have lost confidence, he added: "It's like that, it's hard to argue against it.

"You can parse it like that, of course.

"At half time we made some changes, we encouraged them, told them to play with more emotion, to play harder and to step up.

"But it's obviously difficult at the moment for us. It has nothing to do with a worry - it's a reality.

"It's an underperformance on our part, kind of the same story as always.

"We had a good start, we don't finish our half chances, we don't feel it while the game is already there to fold in the first 15-20 minutes.

"Then we concede a counterattack, which is far too easy, and from there we fight."
