Speaking, Oyo State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Rahman Abiodun hailed Asaleye's courage, saying that his contribution to the development of education of women in the state is commendable.

He said the theme of this workshop, "Tech Sis-Shaping the Future; is more appropriate at the present time that there is a drop in the number of female students enrolled in science-related courses at institutions. of higher education, which can be attributed to a number of factors, one of which is the belief that the STEM field is primarily for men as opposed to women, coupled, with societal norms and beliefs that women end their career in the kitchen.

"I have been reliably informed that this program is set up under the community development program of GWTEO to create interest and expose female students to STEM activities from an early age to motivate them to choose a career in technology related courses.

“Apart from the everywhere perceptible vigor with which the development of the State's infrastructure is being pursued, the present government is making every effort to ensure a marked improvement in the level of education in the State. »

"I can tell you that I won to be honest, and how to be an energy saver, not an energy freak."
