Harry Styles Seems To Spit On Chris Pine At 'Don't Worry Darling' Premiere

Major drama at the 'Don't Worry Darling' premiere -- and we're not even talking about Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh... this one is all Harry Styles and Chris Pine, with an attack of apparent spitting.

The internet is debating fiercely whether HS put one in CP's lap just before the movie started playing at the Venice Film Festival on Monday...and people are torn.

Watch the video... you see Harry approaching his seat -- which is sandwiched between co-stars Chris and Gemma Chan -- and just as he is about to collapse , he seems to lean somewhat forward and purse his lips a way of spitting. Everything is very fast and smooth.

From the clip alone, it's hard to say for sure whether he actually spat or not - but Chris' reaction certainly seems to suggest that he thought, at the very least, that he might have been spit on it.

The guy stops and stares at his leg/seat - and also stops clapping altogether - only to stare in what appears to be comedic disbelief that it just happened (or didn't happen?) Harry carries on as if nothing had happened - so the jury is still out on whether he did it or not.

There are a few different angles of the "spit shot"...and in some it looks clearer than others, which might work in Harry's favor. However, a video of Chris standing up and clapping - presumably after the credits - shows him looking a little tense.
