The trial magistrate, Mr. O. A. Idiagbon, in his brief decision, ordered the remand of the suspects in the Federal Correctional Center of Ilorin until August 4, 2022, for mention of the case .

The suspects' lawyer, Usman Omotosho, said the court could only hear the case but could not try it due to lack of jurisdiction.
