A video showing moments when Catholic Bishop of Uyo Diocese John Ebebe Ayah rejected a N25 million donation from Cross Rivers State Governor Ben Ayade has been uploaded .
The governor had, during a mass held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Ikot Ansa, donated 25 million naira to the church.
Governor Ayade made the trip to the Mass of Thanksgiving for Justice Emmanuel Agim Akomaye, who was recently promoted to the rank of Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
According to the video making the rounds on social media, the bishop subtly avoided the governor and asked him to use the money to pay workers' salaries.
