Hurricane Ian Hammers Weather Channel reporter Mike Seidel during a live shoot

The weather channel

Weather Channel reporter Mike Seidel looks like he deserves a raise: he's working in the field, in the winds of a Category 4 hurricane...and the videos are chilling.

Mike donned a rain jacket and rode through the thickness of Hurricane Ian as the storm's eyewall made landfall on Florida's Gulf Coast on Wednesday...and as you can see, 84 mph gusts of wind give it a hard time.

With Ian's wind and rain beating down on him and the waves crashing at his feet, Mike admits live that he and his team are being hammered by the storm...but the show continue.

Mike is still out in this mess...making more live fire even as Hurricane Ian intensifies for people in the Fort Myers area.

The wind will only pick up and the water will keep rising...but so far it looks like Mike can handle anything that comes his way.

The Florida men, who decided to go swimming at a local pier, also seem to think they can handle the storm. We're not as sure of their safety as Mike's.
