Indiana school board candidate says not all Nazis were bad

Matt Keefer

A guy running for a seat on a local school board in Indiana might just be missing out - suggesting some Nazis were good guys...and comparing them to the misunderstood anti-vaxxers of today.

Dr. Matt Keefer, who is looking for an article on the Zionsville Community Schools Board of Trustees, made the inflammatory comment on Facebook this week while apparently going back and forth with someone about the Nazis... to then defend said Nazis.

Matt Keefer

He wrote, "Not all Nazis were 'evil,' as you spell it out. They did horrible things. They were in a group frenzy on both of them, you site it (sic). in the same place and at the same time, that we would not have done the same thing."

Keefer went on to say that the Nazis were victims of "presentism" - judging past acts by today's standards - and said maybe one day... we'll look at Covid differently, especially in regards to the people who threw so much into shape during the pandemic.

He ends by saying... "History is written by the victors. No other candidate will talk about the issues like I will." Later, after a ton of backlash, Keefer doubled down on his sentiment that not all Nazis were bad - but in the same breath denied being a Nazi sympathizer.

It looks nice Ka...
