Insecurity: Uzodinma urges everyone to pray for God's intervention in Imo

Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State on Sunday urged all to pray for God's swift intervention in the affairs of Imo State.

The Governor made the remarks on Sunday during the Golden Jubilee wedding service between Professor Maurice Iwu and his wife, Kate, at St. Thomas Moore Catholic Church, New Owerri.

He noted that every day he commits himself to God in his prayers for a change of heart, for those involved in murders, kidnappings and other forms of evil deeds.

He repeated that what the citizens demand for the prosperity of our state is peace, "but in all this it will be practically impossible when we do not have peace."

According to him, "what is happening in Imo state in terms of insecurity is not necessary and when we seek the development of Imo state and how our state will be the best of our country and or ask for prosperity to be in our state that it will be virtually impossible if we do not have peace.”

He urged everyone to pray to Almighty God to touch the hearts of those who are causing insecurity in Imo State “because they know each other and can be here in the Church".

Governor Uzodimma wondered how a man can sit in one place, plan how people will be killed, and the next day will be in church.

"To do what?" he asked rhetorically.
