Jackson White and Grace Van Patten Want 'Tell Me Lies' Season 2: 'We're Just Waiting'

Tell me lies

Hulu's adaptation of Carola Lovering's sexy coming-of-age novel "Tell Me Lies" officially premiered on September 7, and we're already hoping for a second season. The 10-episode series traces the tumultuous but intoxicating relationship between students Lucy Albright (Grace Van Patten) and Stephen DeMarco (Jackson White) over the course of eight years. At first, their romance is fun and exciting, but things quickly take a dark turn. Will their love survive?

Since we're only a few episodes away, it's hard to say what will happen next. But White and Van Patten promise big surprises. "It's impossible to predict the next move," Van Patten told POPSUGAR. White adds, "Everything is earned on this show. Every twist and every thing that happens is so deserved by the pacing of the show and the way it's written. Everything is perfectly timed."

As of now, Hulu has yet to renew the show for a second season. Lovering also hasn't written a sequel to the book, but that shouldn't determine whether or not the series will be picked up, as White says the series is "completely different" from the book. Still, White and Van Patten would like to continue telling the story of Lucy and Stephen. "I would love to work on these people even more," White says.

"We're just waiting," Van Patten says of a possible second installment. "The first season ends in such a way that there's so much to fill in, and I'd love to see what happens in those eight years, because from now on it's a mystery."< /p>

New episodes of “Tell Me Lies” air Wednesdays on Hulu.
