Kaduna: Labor Party wins House of Representatives for Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency
Ekene Abubakar, Labor Party candidate for the House of Representatives for Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency of Kaduna State, was declared the winner of last Saturday's elections.
Returning officer Professor Bashir Abubakar, who announced the result, said Ekene polled 57,725 people to defeat the incumbent of the PDP, who polled 47,937, while Caino Cafra of All Progressives Congress got 19,293.
Speaking shortly after the statement, Ekene attributed his election victory to God, saying that "the voice of the people prevailed and I attribute this victory to God who gives power.
