Kano clinic obtains ISO certification

A provider of primary health care services in Kano, EHA Clinics, Kano, has received certification from the International Organization for Standardization by the South African National Accreditation System (testing for hematology in medical laboratory).

EHA Clinics chief executive Adam Thompson said in a statement Tuesday that by meeting the extended criteria of the standard designed to improve the quality and reliability of its medical laboratories, the organization had demonstrated a commitment to technical competence and the operation of a quality management system of the highest standards.

“This prestigious accreditation supports our core values ​​of quality and patient-centered care. Our patients are assured of our commitment to progressive quality improvement. These are exciting times for us, as EHA Clinics Kano was recently recognized as the first primary healthcare clinic in sub-Saharan Africa to be accredited by Joint Commission International for Ambulatory Care. We are proud to transform healthcare and set the tone for primary healthcare standards in Nigeria and beyond,” said Thompson.

EHA Clinics Laboratory Manager Sivakumar Gajendran said medical laboratory services are essential ingredients in patient care.

He said: "Achieving ISO 15189/2012 certification clearly shows that we have all the necessary systems in place to ensure that this excellent standard is maintained through our people, our technology and our process."
