Kano State to set up council for traditional and alternative medicine, says Ganduje
Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje said the state government is considering the possibility of establishing a council for traditional and alternative medicine.
The governor also said that the state government will also establish a Department of Traditional Complementary and Alternative Medicine (TCAM) in the Ministry of Health as part of efforts to standardize the practice of traditional medicine.
He made the statement on Wednesday, while receiving a delegation from the Federal Ministry of Health led by the director of the Department of Traditional Complementary and Alternative Medicine (TCAM), pharmacist Zainab Ujudud Sharif.
