Kate Henshaw voted National Actors Guild PRO

Renowned veteran actress, Kate Henshaw, was elected unopposed as National Public Relations Officer of the Actors Guild of Nigeria.

AGN National Secretary Abubakar Yakubu revealed this in a statement Tuesday in Lagos.

Yakubu said Henshaw was elected on Jan. 9 with a by-election, at a special meeting of the National Executive Council to fill some vacancies.

He also said that Michael Yusuf had beaten Rilwan Ibiefo to become AGN's Vice President, North West Zone, replacing Alhaji Wash Waziri who held the position last term.

"Henshaw will be responsible for spreading strategic communication between guild members and non-guild members," he said.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the AGN is the largest association of actors in the cultural sector in Africa.
