Kim Karda shian has agreed to pay a $1.26m (£1.12m) fine for advertising EthereumMax on his Instagram page. had received $250,000 for advertising the cryptocurrency, without disclosing that she had been paid to do so.
She also agreed not to promoting crypto asset securities for three years.
Her lawyer told BBC News: "Ms. Kardashian is delighted to have resolved this matter with the SEC ."
The attorney said, "Kardashian has cooperated fully with the SEC from the outset and remains willing to do whatever it can to assist the SEC in this case.
"She wanted to put this case behind her to avoid a protracted argument.
" The deal she made with the SEC allows her to do this so she can move forward with her many different business ventures .boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr, basketball player Paul Pierce and the creators of EthereumMax were sued by investors in January.
