Kwam 1, Taye Currency, Osupa to Perform at Fuji Vibrations 2022

Following the success of the 2021 edition, the organizers of FUJI Opera have announced that the first entertainment platform, "Fuji Vibrations", will take place on December 8 in Lagos.

The show, which features one-of-a-kind live music, would showcase talent from across the FUJI world for one night, with ten fuji artists performing on a stage at Muri Okunola Park.

Fuji artists gracing the stage include K1 De Ultimate, Alhaji Sefiu Alao, KS1 Malaika, Taye Currency, King Saheed Osupa, Egbaland's Mayegun and other emerging Fuji talents to create dynamic sounds and Fuji festival fun.

In December 2020, "Fuji: A Opera" debuted at the Alliance Française de Lagos/Mike Adenuga Center in Lagos with over 1,000 people in attendance, including schoolchildren, culture keepers, artists Fuji, Nigerian celebrities and companies.

Organizers say the initiative is a multi-dimensional entertainment platform deconstructing the fuji genre from its enigmatic past and reinventing it for a new generation of music fans.

2021 (Art x Music)

In 2021, FUJI: A Opera hosted a series of activations, merging art and music; the organizers launched a two-phase art exhibition in November in collaboration with one of Nigeria's emerging artists, Bidemi Tata, inspired by the Fuji Music subculture.

According to organizers, the three-week expo was a collaboration with the Lagos State Government and the Lagos State Parks and Recreation Agency.
