In an interview with reporters in Ilorin on Wednesday, Gobir said, "I have no problem with borrowing, but it should be for the creation of value and wealth for the people."

Commenting on the upcoming general election, the party's gubernatorial candidate said, "Our chances are in God's hands, the elections this time will not be about big political parties, but about individuals and personalities that can bring the dividends of democracy.

“We made mistakes in the last elections in 2019, now is the time to correct our past mistakes by electing credible leaders,” he added.

On security challenges in the state, he explained that while the issue remains national, he thinks the state governor who controls the security vote should be able to engage the architecture of security at its disposal for the safety of citizens.

Gobir identified poverty and unemployment as the two main challenges faced by people in the state.

He said that if elected in 2023, the focus would be on opening up rural areas where agricultural activities are hampered by poor infrastructure, such as good roads, water and electricity. electricity, among others.
