Grayson Chrisley of 'Chrisley Knows Best' destroyed his car when it hit another truck from behind on the freeway... and he suffered injuries serious enough to send him to the hospital .
Tennessee police say Grayson was driving his Ford F-150 on I-65 in Nashville last Saturday around 5:30 p.m. when he slammed into the back of a Dodge pickup truck that had stopped in traffic at a standstill.

Cops say officers at the scene asked Grayson what happened. Todd and Julie Chrisley's son couldn't remember anything about the crash, possibly due to a potential head injury. He was rushed by ambulance to the hospital.
TMZ obtained photos of Grayson's truck after the incident...and the bumper is mangled, the hood is cracked, and the windshield is shattered.

Cops say the driver of the Grayson truck in the back was also injured, but refused to receive medical attention. We are told that both vehicles were towed from the scene.
