"Kwara will reduce COVID-induced hardship for vulnerable citizens"



Senior Special Adviser on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to the Governor of Kwara State, Dr Jamila Ibrahim, said the country will do everything possible to ease the hassles that the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) imposes on citizens.< /p>

Ibrahim said the state could pay attention to its sources on rural women and teenagers across the kingdom, until a greater percentage of them have benefited from various comfort programs from the national government. She was speaking the day before, in Ilorin, during a program of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP), in partnership with the authorities of the kingdom.

The event, among others, became determined to launch the Post-COVID-19 Socio-Economic Revitalization Support Program to get the hardcore coins to vulnerable residents of the kingdom.

Appreciating the UNDP and the federal government for the initiative, she said evidence abounds to show that the cash transfer program for inclined humans should end extreme poverty.

"Exchanging cash to sentient humans has proven to be a manageable strategy to combat extreme poverty.
