Labor party dissolved in Jigawa as gubernatorial, senator and representative candidates leave party for APC

Jigawa gubernatorial candidate Abdullahi Tsoho Garba, party leaders and all elective positions have decamped to the APC in the state.

The former LP standard bearer alongside his deputy and other candidates presented himself to Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar at the seat of government a day before the visit of the ruling APC presidential candidate, the leader Bola Ahmed Tinibu, in the State of JIgawa for a presidential campaign.

Speaking to reporters in the government house, Comrade Abdullahi Tsoho Garba said "as you can see here is my running mate and all elective positions have been resolved and agreed to get rid of the Labor Party and join the APC in power".

According to him, they decided to drop their LP tickets for APC in recognition of Governor Badaru Abubakar's giant stride in the state.

"People asked us to participate in the Labor Party, but as part of our campaign tour across the state, we all learned how the APC government is transforming the state through projects and programs which have a direct bearing on the man in command".< /p>

"If we are fighting for the pursuit of our state's progress, this is undoubtedly what Jigawa needed, it is continuity and the best thing is to allow APC to continue to lead the force so as not to deviate from the main path"

“So, starting today, we have all joined the APC with our political allies and pledged to work for its success at the national and state levels in the upcoming general elections.”

He added: "Those who invited us to participate in the elections under the LP convinced us of the progress of development in the main administration of the APC".

"We have decided that no party needs to be in opposition, because initially we are not contesting the election for our reasons but for the will of the people," said Abdullahi Garba.

Comrade Garba maintained that the remaining candidates from the Labor Party are only replacements, the main ones having joined the APC.

Receiving the decamped, State Governor Alhaji Muhammad Badaru Abubakar expressed his joy and promised to hand them over as a welcome gift to the APC presidential candidate, Mr. Bola Tinubu.

"For those who predicted that in two weeks the APC would collapse in Jigawa, now the party seemed to be getting stronger and stronger, receiving candidates, cadres and members from the PDP, LP and other political parties in the state"

“That is enough of a response to the civilian dictator and his unscrupulous politician,” Governor Badaru said.
