Labor Party synergizes towards 2023 and calls for voting for all candidates

The Labor Party (LP) yesterday urged its group members in Lagos State to synergize and harmonize in view of the upcoming general elections in 2023.

This was revealed during a day-long mobilization and sensitization meeting with key stakeholders and party support groups, as well as linking these groups to Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC).

Speaking on the show titled 'Voters, Support Groups and Member Outreach', the party urged group members to vote for all its candidates so governance could be easy for its presidential candidate. , Peter Obi if he wins the election.

The party's national vice-president, Alhaji Bashiru Lamidi Apapan, said awareness was needed to give direction to all supporters of Peter Obi ahead of the 2023 elections and expressed confidence that he would be declared president at the end of the elections. .

He said, "It's not just Peter Obi who is challenging, there are a lot of people supporting him who don't want to come out for fear of their lives and other harm. But deep down, the Nigeria's problem is to eat everyone; challenges don't know if you are from the North or the South.

"Obi is not a candidate for Igbos, he is Nigerian and because of that he has the right to run for political office as the President of Nigeria as he needs everyone's support ."

Apanpan noted that the party candidate would bring Nigeria back to the people, providing a conducive working atmosphere, where the economy works and other lawful activities.

He noted that the mobilization and sensitization meeting set the party on the path to victory in Nigeria ahead of the 2023 elections.

"The project before us is huge to win. The battle against us is huge but one thing is very clear — because we are on the side of the people — every mountain we climb will fall before us.

"I know PDP and APC will brag now that we have no structure, but I want to assure you that we will shock them," he said.

Apapan warned that no support group has been appointed by the party to collect financial donations from supporters for now, as it has not yet concluded its plans to start fundraising.

"Please let me clarify, no one or group has been authorized to collect money on behalf of the party.

“We are still working on the platform, and when the time comes, the process will be announced publicly. Please note that we are monitoring the activities of all support groups across the country.”
