Arabambi, who noted that the party had concluded all the necessary documents with INEC regarding its new candidate, said the party had zero tolerance for "the unscrupulous and questionable politics that Awamaridi allegedly exhibited.< /p>

He said, "Awamaridi was the LP Chairman of the Lagos Caretaker Committee at one time. He was nominated as a gubernatorial primary seat holder. His name was submitted as as a candidate for Governor since Lagos LP had not yet completed all the required processes.

"The alternate status granted to Awamaridi was that from which he formally tendered his resignation. Awamaridi's letter of resignation was deliberately, voluntarily and clearly signed and delivered. The documents do not lie."

Arabambi added that if Awamaridi felt or felt aggrieved, he could go to court for redress, pointing out that his term as chairman of the interim committee has expired.

"We officially and very strongly reaffirm with all authority that the winner of the surrogate election on the LP platform as the 2023 Gubernatorial Candidate for Lagos State is Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour ", he said.

He also reaffirmed the candidacy of other winners for various elective positions on the party platform, saying the press conference should put an end to all controversies.

Arabambi, who said Awamaridi's term had also expired as chairman of the interim committee, inaugurated the party's new 24-man interim executive committee in the state on behalf of the National Working Committee (NWC). ).< /p>
