Lagos-Ibadan: many fear being injured in an accident, the traffic accumulates

It was feared that many people were injured in an accident on the Lagos-Ibadan highway on Monday morning.

The accident that occurred in front of The PUNCH square, KM 14 of the expressway, involved a truck and several other vehicles on the road.

The PUNCH understood that the truck, usually used to transport cows, hit a vehicle from behind while the vehicle also hit other vehicles in front, leading to a series of accidents.< /p>

A Federal Road Safety Corps official, who spoke on condition of anonymity as he was not authorized to speak, told The PUNCH that at least four injured people had been taken to a nearby hospital.

“Two children, an adult male and female were involved,” he told our correspondent.

He said efforts were underway to determine other victims and remove the truck from the road.

FRSC Ogun sector spokeswoman Florence Okpe could not immediately be reached.

At the time of writing, traffic has accumulated on the highway en route to Lagos.
