Late Aseyin Signed Land Document for LAUTECH Iseyin Campus on Sickbed – Makinde

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State revealed that Iseyin's immediate past Aseyin, Oba Salawudeen Adekunle, signed the land document for the construction of the Iseyin Campus of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology on his sick bed.

Makinde made the revelation on Thursday.

The monarch is one of the traditional rulers of the Oke Ogun geopolitical area of ​​the state.

Makinde, however, revealed that the land document for the construction of the LAUTECH campus was given to the monarch on his sickbed a few days before his death.

He said the monarch signed the document less than 24 hours before joining his ancestors.

Makinde, during his visit to the palace on Thursday, insisted that the monarch loves and works for the development of the city.

The governor promised that he would not abandon the family left behind by the monarch.

He said, "I let him know that we had critics, who would criticize the economic benefits of the road. But Kabiyesi told me that his ancestors came through this road to found Iseyin, and if it has no economic benefits, it certainly has historical and cultural benefits for the Iseyin people.

“Secondly, less than two days before Kabiyesi died, the document from the land where LAUTECH was located was delivered to baba on the sickbed and he signed it.

“The document was sent back to LAUTECH, the Pro-Chancellor and his team then went through it and found an error, which was corrected and sent back to Kabiyesi at the hospital.

“Baba signed it less than 24 hours before joining his ancestors. I will not abandon the wives, princes and princesses that the late Aseyin left behind.”
