Madonna and Saint Laurent present the reissue of the book "Sex" at Art Basel Miami Beach
On the busiest night at Art Basel Miami Beach so far, Saint Laurent has drew a select crowd to the beach for a viewing worth the wait in traffic. Curated by Saint Laurent's Anthony Vaccarello, the brand presented an exhibition of Steve Miesel's iconic 1992 photography book, "Sex", featuring many photographs of Madonna.
Thirty years later, the images still have as much impact and are displayed on large scale on pop-up building walls, they demanded attention. Vacarello was present for the opening night on Thursday night (the exhibition ran until Sunday) and Madonna herself made an appearance at the party to view her images. Other guests included Zoë Kravitz, Laura Harrier, Hailey Bieber, Rauw Alejandro, Adwoa Aboah, Anja Rubik, Alek Wek, Evan Mock, Grace VanderWaal and Charlotte Lawrence, as well as designers Raf Simons and Riccardo Tisci.
After taking the photos, the crowd was driven golfing down the beach to a breezy oasis where cocktails and appetizers were served by candlelight and a behind-the-scenes scrolling video looks at the photos.
