Speaking at its launch, which he described as "an Ikoyi away from Ikoyi without the price of Ikoyi, Chairman of Makarios Properties, Pastor Ashimolowo, said the new development remains an attempt to present Nigeria in a way that would make it a destination to go to.

According to him, the development of Makarios would be an area where people can live, have a sense of excellence, serenity and also serve as a tourist destination.

Speaking of residential apartments, he refers to them as a place of excellence where tranquility, stability and things work.

Terrace buildings are tagged "L'Anthizo"; individual houses – “Le Deleazo”; and the Imperial Towers with "Akmazo" apartments.

The terraced buildings, Ashimolowo said they offer 3-storey living with luxurious features, adding that the ground floor has a kitchen, living room, dining room and a guest bedroom; while the first floor has space for house staff and a lounge. According to him, the second floor has three large bedrooms with attached bathrooms.

"Deleazo's detached house features six reception areas, two huge terraces, a cinema and six bedrooms, including a master bedroom as well as staff quarters. The apartments are state-of-the-art smart homes, contemporary and seamless,” he said.

Speaking enthusiastically about the Imperial Towers, he said they have 52 luxury apartments, 14 studios, 14 2-bedroom apartments, 4 5-bedroom apartments and 5 2-bedroom lofts.

According to him, the apartments offered views of the Atlantic coasts, while functioning as serviced apartments.

On the estate's infrastructure spending, Ashimolowo said, "Nobody builds the real estate like we do where we've already put the infrastructure before you even buy your plots."

To show seriousness, the Chairman of Makarios Properties said the new development has obtained the necessary building and planning approvals, adding that it comes with the Certificate of Occupancy (CofO).

The price of houses in Makarios Luxury Place ranges between 200 and 350 million naira.

For people looking for cheaper homes, he said the hotel apartments, where they can rent or buy, offer young couples and upwardly mobile people a chance to live.

"Makarios has three power sources: Disco, tapping generators, and solar. The estate has 27 roads consisting of three main roads and 23 smaller roads and two promenades. Their cobblestones are ready.

"Water supply will be central, waste management, sewage treatment system, so there will be no sump.

"So if you're buying Makarios land, for example, you're not scratching your head about wiring for electricity, you're not scratching your head about water supply, you're not scratching your head about you're not scratching your head about the drainage. It's all been provided to be plugged in,” he said.
