A Jos Magistrate's Court on Thursday sentenced a 35-year-old worker, Fwangmun Danung, to one year in prison for insulting and intimidating his father.

Gotep gave him an option of 10,000 naira or six months for insulting his father and another six months without fines for bullying his father.

The offence, he said, contravened the provisions of article 287 of the Penal Code.

The prosecutor said during the police investigation that the accused was unable to give a satisfactory account of his action.
