'My Big Fat Fabulous Life' star Barbara "Babs" Thore dies at 76

Barbara "Babs" Thore, known to many as Whitney's mother in "My Big Fat Fabulous Life", has died.

Whitney broke the news to fans on Thursday...saying that her mother died on Wednesday "just as the credits to her favorite movie were rolling." She says the time she died - 10:32 p.m. - was also the exact time Whitney was born in 1984.

Whitney says her mother suffered from cerebral amyloid angiopathy...a sadly incurable disease that can cause brain hemorrhages, strokes and dementia. She says Babs had strokes since 2017.

She goes on to share her love for her mother and her pain over the tragic loss -- she ends the message to fans: "We are incredibly grateful to have been able to share her with you and she is our hope that her memory will continue to be a source of comfort and happiness for the rest of your lives...I love you, Mom."

Fans of the show remember Babs from all 10 seasons of the TLC show...as the show progressed, part of the show began to focus on his health issues with his state.

The 10th season saw Babs recover and be discharged from the hospital after suffering one of his strokes. TLC has yet to announce if the hit series will return for the 11th season.

Babs is survived by Whitney, along with her son, Hunter, and her husband, Glenn.
