Nigerian Army to Host COAS Q3 2022 Conference

The Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) Third Quarter 2022 Conference is to be held from Monday 12 to Friday 16 September this year at Army Command Officers Mess 1, Asokoro Abuja.

This was in a statement made available to defense correspondents in Abuja by the army's director of public relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu.

According to the statement, the week-long conference would provide a platform for the Nigerian Army (NA) to assess its performance so far, in the 3rd quarter of 2022 and consolidate its gains.

He added that the conference would also create an opportunity for COAS to have face-to-face interaction with senior staff officers, commanding general officers, field commanders and other senior officers. , with the goal of providing strategic direction for improving NA operations and administration.

He explained that the conference would retrospectively and holistically assess all ongoing operational commitments of the NA, with a view to effectively planning for the future.

He said COAS, Lt. Gen. Faruk Yahaya, who is the organizer of the conference, would declare it open on Tuesday while the opening ceremony would be followed by a review of a summary of key decisions taken at the second quarter conference.< /p>

According to him, it would also contain information and updates on current NA operations and training activities, among others.
