The statement reads: "I want to inform the whole house that I received today the Lado (Adebutu) team sent to my house to collect the Sienna car, to God be the glory, I handed it over to them without a scratch. They are three members, a Ladi CSO, Toaster and a Mrs. Coker from Odeda. Thank you and God bless you."

The party's publicity secretary in the state, Akinloye Bankole, confirmed that the cars were recovered from former party leaders.

Bankole said: "Yes it is true. It happened yesterday (Saturday) when Hon. Ladi Adebutu asked his officials to collect his bus from Siena which he had previously given to former party chairman, Obafemi-Owode, Muyiwa Ojebiyi. The vehicle was given to him and others as Ladi Adebutu development organization project vehicles.

"When leaving the organization offering political support to another person, it is legitimate to have relinquished all property and materials of the organization in their custody."

Bankole described Ojebiyi's public statement as an attempt to stir up sentiment, saying Adebutu's action had precedents.
