Owoeye, mind-blowing Oyetola, say Osun PDP, Atiku-Okowa PCC DG

The duo of former Governor Gboyega Oyetola and Speaker of the House of Assembly Timothy Owoeye have come under attack for their consistent anti-democratic posturing, unrepentant hatred of the ballot box and anti-democratic agenda. popular during the election of Governor Ademola Adeleke.< /p>

Reacting to a statement credited to Owoeye that Oyetola will return as governor on July 5, People's Democratic Party (PDP) State Chairman Dr. Adekunle Akindele and Director General of the Atiku-Okowa Campaign Council in Osun State, Sunday Bisi in a statement released yesterday accused the Speaker of the House of betraying his sworn office, undermining the sanctity of state authority and conniving to destabilize a state where he leads a branch of government.

The duo, in the statement, said, "We first denounced the President's failure to respect the office he holds, to rise above petty partisan politics and to say the truth to Oyetola who recently listened to the devil's whisper. We condemn in large measure the lack of courage and the disappearance of statesmanship shown by the Speaker of the House who today openly revolted against the will of the people of Osun and who shamelessly embraced the despicable lie and propaganda of a defeated Oyetola.

"We thought the Speaker of the House had risen to act like a statesman, like former U.S. Vice President Mike Pence, who at the most critical moment faced his boss, Trump, to tell him that American voters are supreme for an unyielding leader who was out to destroy democracy.Unfortunately, Owoeye today flunked the test because rather than confront election denier, little Trump of 'Osun, he weakly adopted the path of petty tyrants who hate the people and all that democracy stands for.

“We are at the same time alarmed that a sitting Speaker of the House has openly exposed a sinister agenda to undermine the integrity of the justice system by issuing proclamations on a pending matter. We want it to be on record that it is against protocol, against the democratic sense of judgment and against all civilized norms to anticipate judicial decisions. The Speaker of the House should apologize to the judiciary, withdraw his objectionable statement and show courage to step out of the puppet garb of the supposed leader who worships at the feet of a man unable to listen to the voice of God . »

"As a political party, we are rightly convinced that the President's fanciful wish is a grand hallucination. Governor Ademola Adeleke is a duly elected governor of Osun State who was robbed in 2018 but whose victory has been largely confirmed and validated in 2022 by God, the people and even President Muhammadu Buhari, the leader of the President's party.

"In case the Speaker of the House also listens to the whispers of the devil, we affirm that the voice of the people is the voice of God. In case the Speaker is just massaging Oyetola's ego, we 'urge to be a Mr. Pence and tell the Trumpists the truth. If Owoeye is however serious about his unpopular outburst, let him know that no one stands up against the people and wins. The people rule and he is solidly with Governor Ademola Adeleke,” the statement added.

Adekunle and Bisi, while calling on the people of Osun State to rebuke the APC in the February polls, reminded them of the lies and deceit of the APC as a party that caused havoc untold hardship to the state and Nigeria as a whole, saying rejection of the APC at all levels is the best response to a gang determined to maintain its evil rule over the nation.

“Throw them out at the polls in February by voting for PDP candidates at the state and national levels. Send them packing as you did in Osun. Rebuke them and let them know that Imole must shine across the land,” they concluded.
