Oyetola inaugurates Tinubu-Shettima campaign council in Osun

Former Osun State Governor Adegboyega Oyetola inaugurated the Osun Tinubu-Shettima Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) in Osogbo yesterday.

Oyetola, who is the council's state coordinator, instructed the newly inaugurated CCP members to work to ensure the complete victory of All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and of his running mate, Alhaji Kashim Shettima, as well as all the APC candidates in the next general elections.

The former governor of Osun State, who reiterated that the state would secure more than one million votes for the party's flag bearer in the upcoming presidential election, said that the APC had put forward the best candidate to redress the situation in Nigeria.

He said that no effort would be spared to ensure the emergence of Tinubu and Shettima as well as all party candidates in the national and state assembly elections.

Oyetola noted that the country desperately needs a competent person like Tinubu to build on the achievements of the current administration and boost the national potential for socio-economic growth and development of the country.

According to him, there is no room for experimentation in choosing the next president at this critical moment in Nigeria's history, hence the need to elect Tinubu whose political pedigree, responsible and responsive good governance are unparalleled. .

Earlier, Acting APC President Tajudeen Lawal urged party loyalists to launch a door-to-door campaign and mobilize the people to rally in droves to elect and secure victory of the party.

In a similar vein, Osun Assembly Speaker Timothy Owoeye expressed his trust in God that Oyetola would be victorious and return as governor of Osun, while Tinubu would also be elected the next president of the country.

Owoeye, who described the Osun gubernatorial election result of July 16, 2022 as declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as a temporary setback, said God would soon return Oyetola to rule the country. State for a second term before July this year.
