PDP crisis: Ikpeazu, Nnamani and others avoid Atiku's Enugu meeting

PDP Presidential candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar met with Party stakeholders in Enugu State on Tuesday.

DAILY POST reports that the meeting was a continuation of its consultation with stakeholders from the six geopolitical zones.

However, our correspondent reports that Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu and a few others were conspicuously absent during the meeting with South Eastern PDP stakeholders.

Ikpeazu, a strong ally of Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike, is among those calling for the resignation of PDP National Chairman Iyorchia Ayu.

The host, Governor of Enugu State, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi was however present.

Besides Ikpeazu, Senator Chimaroke Nnamani representing the senatorial area of Enugu East was also conspicuously absent.

The former governor was on the list of members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Council. The party continued to vigorously defend Nnamani's listing, a development that unsettled PDP members in his home state of Enugu.

As Atiku met with PDP stakeholders in Enugu, Nnamani was still showing his admiration for APC presidential candidate Ahmed Bola Tinubu on his social media pages.

He wrote: "HE Tinubu is my friend, my brother and my colleague. I have great respect for him, his political background and his achievements in governance. And I am very proud and very happy with him Anyone with a stomach ache should go themselves.”
