Pfizer hosts Patients in Focus summit and renews its commitment to patient well-being

As part of its commitment to patient well-being, a pharmaceutical and biotechnology company, Pfizer, hosted the second annual Patients in Focus summit on Friday.

The theme of the summit, "with patients, for patients", is an interactive panel discussion with the society's Country Director for West Africa, Olayinka Subair, and oncology patient advocates, rare diseases and vaccination who shared the impacts of their interventions on patients.

According to Subair, the virtual event aims to learn from the company's patient advocacy partners to understand and better integrate patient voices into our daily work.

He said, "Pfizer could not achieve its goal without the central role played by patients, caregivers and advocates, whether by engaging in research and development efforts, offering design advice clinical trials, or by partnering with us to develop easy-to-understand tools, resources and materials for our patients.
