Penn Badgley leans over. After keeping his personal life out of the spotlight for much of his career, the 'You' star has quickly become one of our favorite TikTok followers.

Badgley joined the app unannounced last October, much to the delight and surprise of fans. For his debut role, the 36-year-old actor doubled as himself and Joe Goldberg (aka Jonathan Moore, for anyone who caught up with "You" season four) and lip-synched to "Anti-Hero." by Taylor Swift. Later that day, he played into the buzz by pretending to throw up in response to a fan's "scream cry puke" comment. "Me too," he croaked into a silver bowl sitting on a chair in what appeared to be the family's Brooklyn home. A star is born instantly.

"It was just the perfect moment."

Turns out we have Swift's debut single "Midnights" to thank for Badgley's TikTok debut. "I thought for years, 'I'll have a TikTok when the time is right,'" he recently told Rolling Stone. "And then when Taylor's record came out, it seemed like the song wouldn't have worked with anyone else. Me. Joe. Anti-Hero. Taylor Swift? It was just the perfect timing."

Badgley has maintained its momentum in recent months, consistently racking up millions of views on every video. He's doing trendy dances, creatively promoting his podcast, and duets with random creators who tag him in their videos. Also worth noting is his follower-to-follower ratio; with over 3 million followers amassed so far, he only follows 12 people including Lola Kirke (sister of his wife, Domino Kirke-Badgley), Lizzo, Meghan Trainor and a few other designers he has collaborated with. Pretty impressive stats for a relative newbie to TikTok.

To celebrate Badgley's TikTok genius, we're going through all of the "Gossip Girl" videos to date. Watch them all beforehand, and be sure to hit the red "follow" button on their account if you haven't already.
