Police confirm five dead in Rivers cult clash

The Rivers State Police Command has confirmed the deaths of five people who were shot during a sectarian clash in the Ahoada East local government area of ​​the state.

Command Public Relations Officer Grace Iringe-Koko, in a statement on Sunday, identified two of those who died as Chukwujeku Kingsley and Chibuike Thankgod.

SP Iringe-Koko explained that the "bodies of 2 of the victims" had been removed by the family for burial before the police arrived at the scene of the clash.

The bodies of the others were "deposited in the morgue".
